2/3. That’s where I am. That’s how I see this album. My album. It’s always been divided into thirds - writing, producing/recording, finishing. And when I say finishing, I mean getting to that point with each track where you can actually say “I’m finished.” Some tracks I wrote 18 months ago, before I even thought about having my own album, and I’ve only just ‘finished’ them. Others I started 2 months ago and were finished a week after they were started.

I’m in that final third, I think. I’ve written everything. I’ve got demos for every track on the album now, I just need to start going through them all, one by one and start ticking them off. It still feels like I’ve got a million things to do though. 

Each track has it’s own little checklist of things I have to finish off, and to be honest it’s the worst part of making a track. Need to keep going though, I’m nearly there. I want to go away at christmas for a bit so I need to have this thing ‘finished’ by then.

I think I might even have a name for it.
